Spoon, mouth, spoon, mouth

Noah is working on eating with a spoon. He does really well getting the spoon into his mouth but still needs help getting food on the spoon. He's also gets pretty easily distracted by the spoon...simple things are the best toys!

Sneak Peek

Noah had a little photo shoot on Sunday. I had hopes of doing this closer to when he turned 9 months, but life is crazy. Check out the sneak peek Rebekah posted. Enjoy!

No one puts baby in a corner...

No worries, Noah has not been sick this entire time. He passed the bug that he got along to both matt and me, so we had a pretty yucky weekend filled with lots of pedialyte, gatorade, saltines, and laundry. It was so sad seeing Noah be sick, but he handled it like a champ. He was so sweet and extra cuddly..I really enjoyed that part. We are all recovered now (praise God!) and seem to be pretty much back to normal on all counts.

So the other night Noah was battling pj time. This is pretty much an every night thing for him. He wants to either stay naked after his bath, or just sleep in his clothes on non-bath nights. One night I let him get away when he wasn't quite done getting into his jammies...

Seriously, could this kid be any cuter?

That was on Wednesday night after another really nice day. It was a bit windy, so Noah and I went for a walk in the afternoon rather than going to the playground which was my original plan. That's why the stroller was up where Noah could see it...and almost get to it to play with it. He has gotten really good at figuring out ways around obstacles, it's really pretty impressive. Oh yea, that's also why the sunglasses were out.

Sometimes I like to call Noah a "Master of Destruction". Look at how happy he is making a mess!

Mmmm...

Noah has added a couple more words into his vocabulary...but he sometimes gets them mixed up. He started saying "mo, mo" for "more" but I guess since its' so close to "mama" he's interchanging them too. Some other words that he's said (if only a handful of times):
"ack" for quack when he's playing with the rubber duck in the bath
"pf" for puffs, one of his favorite foods
"na na" for num nums (we think) when he's hungry
and last but definitely not least, "ba" for ball (and other toys he likes to throw). This all happened very recently, he has become quite the talker. I actually took this video cause I think it's hysterical when he tried to lick food off his upper lip...

So funny right?? Well that was actually just last night, and Noah woke up this morning sick. Granted he's been sick with a runny nose and a mucusy (my blog, I can make up words if I want to) cough for the past week, but we thought he was getting better. This morning he threw up 3 times after nursing (spaced out over a couple of hours). It was so sad. I'm home with him and he's napping now and has been a pretty happy baby all day. He kept the pedialyte down and also kept his lunch down (although he only ate about a third of what he would normally eat. I know that we have been so blessed with how healthy Noah has been so far...we are incredibly grateful for that and hopeful that he will be healthy again soon.

I love that Elisa is such a good blogger...especially now that I'm sort of stealing a couple of her posts for the second time. Last week we had some weather nice enough for Elisa to take the kids to the park. Noah has his classic "what is all this new stuff?" expression in most of the pictures...I love it! Sofi took him on his first trip down the slide, but nobody tell him, cause Matt and I will want to do this again when the weather permits. Click here to see the slide pictures, here to see Noah telling Lillian how pretty she is, and here to check out the rest of Elisa's blog.
